KNOW YOUR RIGHTS.

If you work for a local or state government entity—such as public school district, city hall, or a state agency—you have the right to decide whether you want to join a union at your workplace. A 2018 Supreme Court ruling said you have the right to choose whether to join a union and pay dues.

We may be able to help if:

You want to quit your union—or you already quit but are still being forced to pay dues;
No one informed you of your right not to join and pay before you signed up; and
You joined your union after June 27, 2018.
